Nancy Forrester, artist, teacher, environmental activist, and plant & animal lover has been rescuing, rehoming orphaned parrots for 30 years.
Join Nancy or Steve Snyder from 10 to 11 AM daily for a special presentation “Parrot 101” when guests can take pictures of uncaged birds, hold them and ask questions. We gladly welcome families with children and animal lovers to the Secret Garden to interact with our magnificent South American macaws (four of which are critically endangered) and our other parrots. 11 to 3 PM is Self-guided Educational displays include each parrots story.
Our Key West Educational Attraction is open 10 to 3 daily. Help entertain our highly social birds by spending time and talking to them. Bring a picnic lunch, share your recorded music, play musical instruments, sing, paint, write, and dance. Parrots love music, color and motion played on smartphones! Wear fancy footwear for shoe fetish macaw Ara Ara, she loves toe rings, ankle bracelets, bright colors, shiny, sparkly foot gear and shoes that light up when you walk! Entrance fee helps support our work $10 adults, $5 children (5-11) youngsters are free. Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.
